Q. Can you tell us a bit about your business: what you do, why you started it, and how that eventually led you to discover and start using Formplus?

  • Mike:
    “WeInsure Group is an insurance brokerage and insurance franchise business. We’re headquartered in Austin, Texas. We have two divisions: a national sales center that sells insurance like home and auto to people and businesses, and a franchise division where entrepreneurs can open their own WeInsure offices.

    As far as how Formplus came into playing a role, it was really a matter of need. In the insurance industry, many systems are tied to proprietary software that integrates only with tools like Microsoft Office or OneDrive. So when we needed a solution for our annual Kickoff event in Orlando, a form that could be accessed by not just employees but also franchise owners, sponsors, and carrier partners, we realized many internal form tools wouldn’t work. For example, Microsoft Forms wouldn’t be accessible to our external partners. One of the key reasons we selected Formplus was that it was globally accessible and could be used by anyone who needed to register for the event. That feature alone made it a strong fit for us.”

Q. Can you walk us through how Formplus fits into your day-to-day operations, and in what ways it has helped solve the challenges you were facing before?

  • Mike:
    “Day-to-day, Formplus makes it easy to manage our registration process as part of a broader marketing strategy. When we launch event registration, we don’t just send a single email; we send a sequence of reminders, drip campaigns, and targeted outreach. By tying registration responses into Google Sheets and connecting that sheet to HubSpot, we can tell exactly who has registered and who hasn’t. That means our automated reminders only go to people who haven’t registered yet, avoiding unnecessary or annoying messages. That was a huge step forward in terms of communication efficiency.

    Beyond marketing, the structured data from Formplus is accessible to multiple teams. Our finance team, teams across marketing, communications, and carrier relations, consume that data without having to export it or chase down disparate sources. And because Formplus integrates easily with Google Sheets and third-party tools like Zapier, we trust it to keep working without needing constant oversight.

I never have to go in and check whether the form is still functioning; it just does.”

Q. What about using Formplus has been particularly helpful & made the biggest difference for your work?

  • Mike:
    “For us, one of the best features is how easy it is to build conditional logic. We have one form that goes out to all audiences and employees. Depending on what they select, the form displays the information that’s relevant to them. That was extremely helpful and easy to set up. I’ve used other tools that claim to support conditional logic, and it’s always complicated or frustrating to configure. With Formplus, it was intuitive.

    Another important part has been the Google Sheets integration. We were able to add custom tabs for finance tracking and other needs without breaking the connection, something that often fails with other form systems like Microsoft.”

    “We reached out to support a few times, and the team was incredibly helpful. That level of support matters when you’re running events that hundreds of people will interact with.”

  • Mike:

That improves our audience’s experience and keeps our messaging intentional. Cross-team collaboration has also improved. Finance, communications, and carrier relations, everyone can access the same structured data and customize their own view without affecting others. We avoid chasing missing information or dealing with inconsistent fields.

    We’ve also been able to extend Formplus beyond internal registration. For example, one of our franchise owners ran a holiday activation using a Formplus form linked to a QR code. People scanned, submitted their info, and received both a photo and a quote. That level of public accessibility simply wouldn’t work with internal-only form tools.”

  • Mike:

From a technical standpoint, there’s really no strong reason not to use it more broadly. It’s just a matter of expanding adoption internally.”
